Our Cotton Experts are located just outside Barcelos, a town best known for its rooster, Portugal’s unofficial national symbol. Our cotton experts work is fully integrated, meaning product development, from knitting to dying, are all managed in-house. The factory specializes in premium textiles like extra-long staple cotton and fine Italian cotton blends.
We were instantly impressed by the factory’s bright, clean atmosphere and well kept outside grounds. The entrance appeared more art gallery than industrial site. And like us, our cotton experts take environmental standards seriously. Unlike typical textile manufacturers, their high-end facility recycles the majority of its water, uses energy efficient machinery from Italy, and repurposes by-products to create more premium fabrics, reducing overall waste. Working conditions in knitting, dying and laboratory areas are outstanding. We visited plenty of factories, but only this one facilitated a positive attitude and atmosphere.
The factory’s keen attention to detail makes it the perfect place to produce high-end jersey fabrics. Knitting machines are kept separate and spotlessly clean at all times, limiting contamination. A condition absolutely essential for creating outstanding quality and producing luxury fabrics such as extra long staple single jersey knit used for our perfect T-Shirt.
