Our blog series "Team Talks: Behind the Scenes at SANVT" continues. Our Head of Customer Care, Katrin, is likely the person SANVT customers have interacted with the most. As one of the longest team members, she’s witnessed SANVT’s growth first-hand — and played a key role in it. In this interview, we take a closer look at the person behind the customer service emails, chat replies, and WhatsApp messages. In this post you'll get to know Katrin beyond the inbox.

How long have you been working at SANVT? How would you explain your role at SANVT in a few sentences?

"I've been working at SANVT for two years and three months, since October 2022. My role at SANVT is Customer Support Manager. I take care of all aspects of customer service. That means throughout all channels: WhatsApp, chat, email and phone. I also have other tasks. For example, I look after our B2B customers. Then I take care of the GmbH's accounting and also the reviews on Trustpilot and Google."

Katrin would say of herself that she is an open book and doesn't have any secrets. One thing though - that not everybody knows of her at the start of getting to know her - is that she actually is a great cook. Her best creation: Yellow curry.

What do you like most about your work at SANVT? Have you already discovered any differences to other former workplaces?

"So the first reason why I've been working at SANVT for so long and why I want to continue working at SANVT is the my relationship to the whole team. Also I've never had such a cool relationship with my boss. First of all, we are completely honest with eachother, problems can be addressed and it's more like a friendship. Then in any case, if you sometimes have to put your private life on the back burner at SANVT, Benjamin is always willing to prioritize your private life the other way around  - if necessary.

Also, we are working so closely within our team. For me this means that everything I pass on, it reaches the right department and it is improved immediately. This is something that simply doesn't happen so quickly in a large company."

What's you favourite SANVT Essential?

"Meanwhile the Perfect Longsleeve. I really like this one."

"We are working so closely within our team. For me this means that everything I pass on, reaches the right department and it is improved immediately."

Can you share a memorable project or experience you’ve had with the team?

"So, I would definitely say the trade fair Stiljmarkt on the Praterinsel in Munich, because I think it was great to see how happy the team was to finally meet with customers for the first time. Also, we got to know PG, our fulfillment partner, personally. Lastly, the rest of the team saw for one day what my daily tasks are at SANVT."

"I believe that you have to have tremendous stamina for PR, but when you do get a result, it can be really great. We saw that with the Süddeutsche Zeitung. And if you're successful, then it's a great success."

If Katrin could switch roles with someone from our team it would be Susanna - our working student in PR and Marketing.

Like all of us, Katrin was surprised and delighted by the impact of the article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung. Will Katrin become our new PR manager? We doubt it. Katrin is too much of an expert in customer service and always has the right solution for any problem. Stay tuned for our next blogpost from our series "Team Talks: Behind the Scenes at SANVT"...
