Spanish cheerfulness, passionate flamenco dancer and avid reader in her spare time - in this edition of “Team Talks: Behind the Scenes at SANVT” we introduce you to Carmen, our Brand Manager. When SANVT founder Benjamin told her about the Perfect T-shirt, she was convinced right away and has been making sure that our values - quality and sustainability - are conveyed through our communication channels ever since. Get to know her in this interview.
How long have you been working at SANVT? How would you explain your role at SANVT in a few sentences?
"I’ve been working at SANVT since October 2023, so that makes a year and three months, more or less. My role is Brand Manager. My main responsibilities ismaking sure that our communication and marketing strategy on the brand is on point So, when we have like product launches or when we do collaborations with external partners that share our values. So basically, I would say that my role is to build a universe around the brand in a way that resonates with our values that are basically sustainability and quality and to communicate those values in a nice way."
Fun fact about Carmen: She has been dancing the Spanish flamenco for almost whole of her life. Next to that, she loves to practice her salsa on the weekends.
What do you like most about your work at SANVT? Have you already discovered any differences to other former workplaces? What’s special about SANVT as a work place?
"What I enjoy the most is actually witnessing the growth of the brand – that for me has been super valuable. And the brand is growing in a very thoughtful way. Like, we don’t grow for the sake of growing. I like that every decision that we make, like for example when launching a new product, is very well thought. There is a sustainability aspect to the growth of the brand. That’s something I haven’t seen at other brands. And we have a very well balanced team. Everyone takes care of their own things, but it’s also always teamwork and there’s always an open conversation to decisions with a lot of trust given to everyone."
Typical Sunday in a life of Carmen?
Carmen: "I love hiking. And I also love reading, many sundays I spend reading books, especially in winter. I read more when I was younger, but I still try to keep up. I really like novels about daily life."
What’s your favorite SANVT Essential?
"My favorite SANVT Essential is the Perfect T-Shirt. It’s just an incredible product and for a Brand Manager it’s like a dream, because it’s very well designed and everyone loves it. You don’t have to make any effort to explain how beautiful this product is. Also, I came from another background in fashion, like I was working for different brands, and I never thought that such a simple garment could be so complex. For me, SANVT started with the best product and then from the Perfect T-shirt the collection evolved."

Can you share a memorable project or experience you’ve had with the team?
"Last year was a wild ride, we did so many things. I remember very fondly when we launched the jeans. It was my first launch at SANVT. It was two years of preparation and the moment that you put the jeans in the world after two years of designing, making sure everything is nice and well done – that was super exciting – and to actually see the response of the community and how everyone reacted to the jeans and loved it. Because people don’t see what is behind the product: there is a lot of people involved, a lot of meetings, a lot of coffee. So, the launch was like the end of a really long process, that even started before I was at SANVT."

As Brand Manager, Carmen is the person who can provide exciting insights into the world behind our brand. It is particularly important to her to always convey the values that define SANVT: above all, quality and sustainability. The latter aspect is particularly important to her which is why she appreciates the fact that SANVT never neglects its sustainability standards and that every new product launch is always well thought out.
