Our newest team member, Nadja, is the crucial link between our factories in Portugal and our office team. Whenever a new essential arrives or we’re restocking, she’s the first to know – and the first to let the rest of the team know. Outside of work, however, Nadja enjoys a slower pace: late Sunday brunches with friends, walks in nature, and cooking at home are her weekend essentials. But her love for food isn’t the only surprising detail — in this interview, you’ll learn more about Nadja’s role as Product & Sustainability Manager, her passion for comfort and secondhand fashion, and a rather unexpected soft spot for a special animal.

Fun Fact about Nadja: she is passionate about city pigeons and once helped feeding pigeons during a volunteering project in Berlin.

How long have you been working at SANVT? How would you explain your role at SANVT in a few sentences?

"I have been working at SANVT since September (2024). I am the Product and Sustainability Manager. My area of responsibility therefore lies in two parts: product and sustainability. In the product part, I definitely look at how the product range can be expanded, what can be improved in the current products, when orders need to be placed so that there is always enough in stock, which factories could perhaps be added, and how the collaboration works. In general, the person who connects the internal team with the factories. In the area of sustainability, it is of course the certifications, such as the B-Corp (...) the Impact Report; perhaps also looking around for alternative materials that are a little newer / more innovative in the future. Always with the idea of “going one step further” - in terms of sustainability."

Nadja's typcial sunday: Getting up a little later, meeting up with friends for brunch, driving out of the city a bit, seeing a bit of nature or alternatively going to a market - an illustration market or flea market and cooking in the evening.

What do you like most about your work at SANVT? Have you already discovered any differences to other former workplaces?

"What I've really noticed since day 1 is this really nice atmosphere in the whole team, even though they are completely different characters. But everyone gets along with eachother. That really stood out and has positively surprised me since day 1 and hasn't changed since then, of course. I find working together really pleasant. Everyone does their own thing, but of course there's also a lot of overlap. I don't think I was used to that from previous jobs - I was really pleasantly surprised. Of course, I was also given a really warm welcome and I'm now the newest member of the team. The pop-up in Munich definitely helped me to get to know everyone a bit more privately. And I think I really prefer that it's a manageable team because, as I said, it's easy to talk to everyone - not everything has to happen around 50,000 corners."

Nadja would describe her personal fashion style as sustainable and classic. She enjoys wearing oversized clothing in less bright colors as well as highlighting her outfits with golden jewlery.

What’s your favorite SANVT Essential?

"I would say the Heavyweight T-Shirt. Not only is it incredibly comfortable to wear since its made of 100% organic cotton, but literally goes with everything - because it's only available in colors that really go with everything. I'm very happy with it."

Can you share a memorable project or experience you’ve had with the team?

"Definitely the pop-up, because we were just together 24 hours a day and really in my second week too. It was a really nice time. I felt totally at ease, the teamwork was great and it was nice to get to know the customers personally, as I'm still new to the team. And apart from that, little things like the monthly breakfast, where you can just chat a bit in a relaxed setting."

Nadja's mindset for achieving SANVT's sustainability aspirations

Although Nadja only joined the team in September, it feels like she has been around for longer. Since the beginning she valued the positive atmosphere in the office and enjoys the responsibility every team member has. An aspect SANVT really stands for.
